Dues that collect themselves. Members who pre-register themselves. Data that stays yours.
Nobody has to chase payments by hand any more: dues go out by SEPA direct debit, Bizum or card, and the reminders send themselves. Your members pre-register, book activities and pay from their phone. When your organization changes, the software adapts to it, not the other way round. And because Memship runs on your own server, there is no vendor mining your member list, no price per member, and nothing to negotiate for if you ever want to leave.
- Your server, your data
- No per-member fees
- Changes when you do

Why Memship
01
Nobody else gets your member list
Memship runs on your server and only yours. There is no vendor cloud holding your members, nothing being mined for advertising, and nobody to ask permission from if you decide to leave.
02
Growing the club should not grow the bill
The software costs the same whether you have two hundred members or two thousand: nothing. You pay for the server you run it on, and that is the whole bill.
03
Members pay the way they already pay
SEPA direct debit, Bizum, Redsys and card. Dues go out on schedule, the late ones are chased automatically, and receipts arrive with the VAT already worked out.
04
If it does not fit, you can change it
The code is public. Read it, run it, adapt it to the way your organization actually works, or pay someone to. You are never waiting on somebody else's roadmap.
The end of the members spreadsheet
Everything to run your entity, day to day
One place for the whole club, so nobody has to work out which spreadsheet was the current one.

Who it is for
If you are on the board, the question is usually where the member data lives and what happens if the supplier disappears. It lives on your server, and the code is public, so nothing disappears with anyone. If you are the treasurer or the secretary doing this after work, it is the end of the members spreadsheet, the bank file built by hand and the reminders sent one at a time, and it is something you can hand to the next volunteer. If you are a member, it is signing up, booking a place and paying from your phone instead of an email thread. Memship is built for associations, sports clubs and cultural organizations of a few hundred to a few thousand members, run by volunteers or a small staff, and because it is open source you can adapt it to how your organization actually works.
Learn more about MemshipFree to run. Help when you need it.
The Memship core is open source and free to self-host, permanently. No company sits behind it: the project is maintained by contributors in their own time, and some of them take paid work for entities that want a hand. So it is always clear what costs nothing, what costs money, and who you are dealing with.
01
Free core
The full application, self-hosted on your own server. No subscriptions, no per-member pricing, and no features held back behind a paywall.
02
Community help when you get stuck
Getting started and something is not working? Open an issue on GitHub or email us with the details. We help where we can, as time allows: best-effort help from the people who build Memship, not a guaranteed service.
03
Help with complex setups
Demanding infrastructure, custom domains, email delivery, SEPA and banking configuration, or migrating data from your current tool. Contributors take this on as paid work, by email or screen share: you are hiring a person for a job, not signing up to a support plan.
04
Someone to run it, or to build what you need
Would you rather not run a server, or need something the software does not do yet? A contributor can be hired to host Memship for you, or to build the feature. It does not have to be one of us: the code is public, so anyone you trust can quote for it.

Frequently asked questions
Memship is open-source, self-hosted membership management for associations, sports clubs, cultural organizations, and other member-based entities. It brings members, activities, and payments together in one place.
The core software is open source and free to self-host. There are no subscriptions and no per-member fees; you only pay for your own server.
There is no company and no investor. The core software is open source and free to self-host, with no subscriptions and no per-member fees, and contributors maintain it in their own time. Some of them take paid work: help with complex setups, custom features, or hosting it for you. Setup questions are best asked as an issue on GitHub, or by email: we help where we can, as time allows.
On your own server. Memship is self-hosted and single-tenant, so your data stays under your control, and nothing is sent to a vendor cloud by default. If you deliberately connect an outside service, such as an external AI model provider, data goes where you point it: that is your organization's decision to make, not ours. It is built with GDPR in mind.
A server with Docker and Docker Compose. You can start Memship with a single command, then open it in your browser.
A contributor can host and manage it for you as paid work. Get in touch and we will set it up, or point you to someone who can. It stays single-tenant: your organization gets its own instance, not a shared database.
Yes. It is open source, so the code can be read and changed to fit how your organization actually works: by you, by us, or by any developer you trust. Contributions are welcome on GitHub.
Adapting it is not free: it is development time, like any software work. What changes is who can quote for it. With a closed product, one supplier decides whether your change happens, when, and at what price. Because Memship's code is public, you can ask us, your own developer, or any software company, and compare.
SEPA direct debit, Redsys and Bizum, and Stripe Checkout, plus recurring billing, payment reminders, and PDF receipts with VAT.
Spanish, Catalan, and English out of the box, with a language selector for members. It can be extended to other languages.
One is in development, for members rather than administrators: pre-registering, booking activities and paying, in an app instead of the browser. Running the organization stays in the browser. In the meantime Memship already works on a phone and members can do all of that today without installing anything, so we would rather not name a date until the app is close.
An AI agent layer is being built, to take routine work off whoever runs the organization. Because Memship is self-hosted, the model provider is a setting: your administrator can point it at a model running on your own infrastructure, or at an external provider if that is what you prefer. Nothing is sent anywhere until someone in your organization configures it, and that choice stays yours.
Your members. Your server. Your rules.
Two commands and Docker, and Memship is running on a server you control. Or read the code first: all of it is public.
